So I’m in the final stages of website building before the publication date. I’ve allowed about a week and a half to generate an audience and feedback, mainly just to get a feel for if the website works or not. I’ve received feedback from a few peers and my teacher to help me refine.
The peers said that the website was comprehensive, something they would use as a resource that provided enough information without being too wordy, giving too much away, or not being enough. So I’m pretty happy with that! Because now I do feel confident that this is a site that is accessible for students studying this course.
My teacher told me to focus on and refine my ‘personal experience’ for the site. As in, giving my perspective or demonstrating how I would approach something. I’ve been working on this, especially in the way of giving tips and strategies that I’ve used myself in the analytical and creative response guides. But I also feel that the rest of the website inherently does this, because I’ve had to approach and assemble all that information from my own perspective in a way that makes sense to me. And plus, this learning journal thing is personalised so there’s that haha.
Once I refine and follow up on this preliminary feedback, I should be okay to publish. And even if I don’t get a lot of feedback after the publishing, I’ve discovered the stats page so I can spy on how many people are using the site! Haha. And if users repeatedly come back (which I think I can see), I guess I can assume it’s a good resource :)
Looking forward to publishing! It’s been a long time coming!
