I don’t even know how I managed to produce a website, never mind one that is doing pretty well according to feedback! My teacher and I created a list of ways to attract an audience for the website to generate feedback, and it’s been pretty effective so far I must say. I posted in various HSC forums online, my teacher emailed numerous schools doing the same module/elective, as well as posting on the ETA Facebook page. I also went to my peers for direct feedback. Everything I’ve heard has said that it’s a helpful resource, so I’m pretty proud. I think it came down to the whole “breaking it down” method that was at the heart of my website. I got a particular comment on how the Exchange is really helpful, so I have hope that people will contribute their own responses in the future (it’s so important to share resources!)
I think this assignment has been unbelievably helpful for my studies… despite the fact that I’ve despised having to do it a lot of the time haha. The fact that I had to actively engage, investigate and research on my own in order to provide the best resources for the website users has expanded my knowledge so much. I feel more confident with the ideas within both rubrics and I feel like I can definitely apply them capably in the future to any essay. I feel like having the resources on imaginative and analytical responses will also help me again in the future, because I will most definitely be coming back to them for inspiration!
If this assignment did anything, it made me step back and look at the big picture. And as they always say, to learn something, you’re best to teach it yourself! Going off that, I really feel like I grasp so many things that went over my head in the past :)
